Training
We provide training to Professionals from many backgrounds. Over the past 10 years we have supported psychologists, physiotherapists, doctors, nurses, social workers, speech and language therapists, state-trained teachers and Montessori teachers - even a circus skills teacher!
Our flagship training is the MEfA Montessori post graduate SEN CPD course. In September 2021 Cohort 22 of Part 1 commences - and we have graduate across all continents (except Antarctica - no Montessori penguins just yet!)
The MEfA Montessori Waldon Therapy Training is open to all graduates who are working with children with special educational, emotional or physical needs. The training is intensive and students needs to provide face-to-face or video evidence that they have mastered the theory and practice in person. All the teachers and therapists here at MEfA Montessori have graduated from this programme.
We also provide bespoke training to families and schools, and at conferences. In this way we can tailor our input to specific familial and environmental needs.

- Part 1 of our training comprises 'A Blueprint for Observation'. Montessori teacher training differs from state teacher training in that we study child development and the curriculum follows this natural course. It is necessary to understand what is normal development - the universal laws of child development - in order to observe what is different or abnormal.
- Part 2 of our training comprises 'A Blueprint for Reporting'. Having observed closely and wisely we need to be able to relay to others, often in layman's term and also often professionally what we have observed and the impact this is having on a child's development, emotionally, physically and educationally.
