Baby Montessori and Toddler Montessori
Why Montessori?
"Montessori is a way of life, a philosophy about how human beings might live their lives and treat one another; it is an attitude of respect and encouragement .... " Teach Your Montessori Baby to Communicate, Wendy Fidler, Montessori International Magazine, 2005
Baby Montessori: Babies aged 0 - 15 months:
MEfA Baby Montessori sessions are on Wednesday afternoons during term time at Mycenae House in Blackheath, London.
The sessions, which babies attend with a parent/carer, focus on early intervention activities to promote healthy social, sensory and communication skills:
- watching body language
- listening to conversations, stories, rhymes and singing
- taking turns and sharing toys
- developing balance, hand and eye coordination, concentration and independence using special Baby Montessori activities
Toddler Montessori: Children aged 15-24 months:
Children move on to the MEfA Toddler Montessori sessions at about fifteen months. The classes are also held on Wednesday afternoons, during term-time, at Mycenae House in Blackheath, London.
The sessions, which are fully funded by our generous sponsors, are free of charge to participating families.
